What is the primary purpose of all these commandments (chapters 20-23)? Answer: “Holiness unto the Lord.” We live “corem Deo,” that is in His Holy presence. It is His desire that we should be holy in all manner of life and godliness (c.f. 2 Peter 3:11). Praise God that His great salvation accomplished by Jesus Christ is being applied in our lives by the Holy Spirit. We are called “saints” (holy ones) to be holy, for He is holy (1 Peter 1:16).
