The influence of culture is powerful. So powerful that even something like abortion becomes accepted, or at least tolerated. People say that it's a political thing. Pastors shouldn't bring it up because it is uncomfortable. It ought to be more uncomfortable than it is!
It should not surprise us that the world chases after the wrong things. But what about God's people? Do we get sucked into the flood. It's peer pressure, the desire to fit in, the desire to be accepted, to be "normal." What exactly is normal? Being like most of the crowd. Is that what we want? (talk about the two "eras" of my life. I don't think of what I've gained, only of what I have lost) We cannot change until we admit that the system is wrong and we don't want to be a part of it. You do not have to be like everyone else.
