Friends, turn away from self-confidence and throw yourself on Christ, and not if, but **when** we fall like Peter and the disciples did, know that Jesus is not finished with us. Look at verse 28. I held it for the end on purpose. In all this talk of betrayal, sacrifice, and abandonment, hope is hiding in plain sight. Jesus says, 'after I am raised up, I will go before you to Galilee.' So after telling his disciples that they will all do the unimaginable and forsake him, he says, 'This is not the end of your story guys. You will see me again. When this is all over, I will meet you back home in Galilee.' Oh friends what a promise! When we go through the darkest night of our lives and do the unthinkable—even things we swore we'd never do, Jesus will come to us again, not with condemnation but with grace -- a risen Savior whose righteousness restores us to fellowship with him. Oh what grace! Brothers and sisters, take hope in this today!
