Text: Mark 8:1-21 | Speaker: Levi Bakerink | Description: In this passage, we read the story of Jesus' disciples when they were stuck in a boat, without any bread, and wondering what they were going to do next. Jesus uses this opportunity to teach his disciples a lesson to watch out for the leaven of the Pharisees and remember to rest in God's faithfulness. This lesson of faith and trust in God was missed by His disciples. Unfortunately, as we let the cares and struggles in this world distract us, we can easily miss this important lesson too. Just like His disciples back then, we too need to watch out for anything that might pull us away from Christ, and always remember to rest and trust in his faithfulness toward us.
