Light will always dispel darkness. As Jesus began to manifest itself as the light of the world he immediately comes into conflict with the darkness of religion. Jesus deliberately picks an area where darkness and taken over the light of God's revelation. The Sabbath in many respects was the most spiritual of all the commandments. It represented fellowship with God in resting with God after working as God had commanded. Jesus will always come to the areas of our life where we have allowed tradition and deadness to take the place of the life of God. The question for us is will we allow him total Lordship in these areas so that we can be brought back and taken deeper into intimate fellowship with him?
