New Beginning Same Journey2021 Ps. 102:24-27; Heb.13:8 Today is a day of constant change. Everything around us changes. Times change, seasons change, headlines change, governments change, and we'd all agree that people change. Church life has experienced innumerable changes in the past 20 years. We've gone from song books to PowerPoint; from hymns to praise and worship; from too many standards to not enough standards; from packed houses to empty houses. While methods may always change, the message of the church MUST NEVER change. The Scripture reminds us that the reason our message is unchanged is because our Master is unchanged. The emphasis of the book of Hebrews is that everything we need in the spiritual life is found in Christ alone. THE SAVIOR WILL NEVER CHANGE. He'll never change His morals. He'll never change His message. He'll never change His mission. THE SCRIPTURE WILL NEVER CHANGE. The author will never change. The authenticity will never change. The authority will never change. THE SPIRITUALITY OF GOD WILL NEVER CHANGE. Compelling love. Conquering power. Control of the believer SIN WILL NEVER CHANGE. The deadly wage. The deception by Satan. The dominion of sin. SALVATION WILL NEVER CHANGE. You hear the Gospel "Finished work of Christ." You believe what you heard about Christ's life, death, love. You trust Him as your Lord and Savior. SORROW WILL NEVER CHANGE. The pain, the problems (all a part of daily living) The persecutions. God has not changed His mind concerning all sinful habits, even though many religious circles have. Our Scripture says that our bodies are the temples of the Holy Ghost. He is our unchanging message in an ever-changing world.
