This means it is a command. We obligate ourselves to many things, except God's commands. But it is God's commands that should have top priority with us. To "watch" successfully is to be committed to the task.The cause for watching it stated in our text.The "therefore" refers to what Christ has said about the future. In view of what he has said, we need to do some spiritual watching.The true Christian has thoughts about Christ everyday for the simple reason that he loves Him. Do you think about Christ? That is one way to ask yourself and to give a good honest answer to the question, do I love Christ, am I loving Christ?
