God continues to call all people to Himself, warning us of the consequences of sin and rebellion. And yet, we continue to resist, seeking out the private places to continue in our sin. Though now, we are seeing people become more bold and aggressive, not only in their own sin, but through urging others to reject God's love and God's law.
And yet, for those who respond to the call of God, there is the promise of His transforming power. "But God," in Ephesians 2, acted on behalf of sinners. When He works in our lives, we are able to see that "of such were" some of you.
Praise the Lord for His mercy that is greater than our sin, and His love that acted while we were still His enemies, and His grace that saves us in Christ Jesus, our Lord and Savior. |
