“ A Changed Life ” Intro:
-As Christians we have such a different perspective of life.
-It is exciting to think about the salvation that God gave us.
-What we see in the text is the same thing we see when people come to Christ. It is no less a miracle than when Jesus gave the sight to the blind.
-We should want to see change in our hearts. We should want to grow more and more spiritual. Everyday is an opportunity to grow in the Lord.
-We should want to see change in our kids. The idea of nurture is that of disciplining them. Trusting God to use parents to instill the character needed to accomplish God's will.
-We should want to see change in our ministry. This is accomplished through the power of the Word of God (v.10). We don't have anything to offer people except the word of God. A life without the Word of God is at best a good work, but powerless to see change. Humanitarian efforts are useless and cannot accomplished what the Bible can.
THis change is also possible through the power of the Holy Spirit (v.11). God gives us power. Live your life for God and people will see.
-The glory of God (v.17). Our lives has to lift up Jesus if its going to make a difference in people's lives. Christianity is not self seeking it is lifting up Jesus Christ. Do we count his name sacred?
