There have been many "eschatologies" in the history of our kind. The Bible gives a solid record of world wide reorganizations at the hand of God. The most important of these was spoken of as the coming of a Kingdom with the coming of the King. Jesus subjected himself to the humiliations of this life not for His own glory but for our sakes that we might be gathered together in that Kingdom. That Kingdom not being a merely earthly or political kingdom has confused some in regard to it's reality as a jurisdiction over this world and a sovereignty over all flesh, but Jesus did not teach a limitation to His lordship. Even now the Kingdom is growing and proceeding over the face of the earth, day in and day out, generation into generation, until the extent of his jurisdiction is identical to the expression of His power.
