After admitting that his enemies had "almost" made an end of him in the last octave (vs. 81-88), the psalmist rebounds with one of the great statements of faith in the Bible: "Forever, O Lord, Your word is settled in heaven."

The psalmist is regaining his bearings after a period of doubt. He is saved, both temporally and eternally, by the Word of God. |
