This sermon was given at a meeting that included different congregations gathered for hymn-singing, preaching, and communion of the saints. This sermon is essentially about the stupendous security that belongs to reconciled people. We lose our grip on this fact too easily and become like little-faith in pilgrims progress: "three sturdy rouges (Guilt, Faint-heart, and Mistrust) overthrew him in dead man's row". This sort of thing continues but need not be so. Joseph's brothers (Genesis 50:15-21) could not possibly be in better circumstances than they were in--they were really, really secure--and yet they carried on like sheep surrounded by wolves. Reconciled brother or sister in Christ you are really, really secure though Satan indeed rages and though indeed the world's frown gets increasingly fierce. Listen!
