Going where you Don't want To Go! Acts 10;34-48 We find that God has been preparing a man named Cornelius and a preacher named Peter for a five-minute moment that has changed multitudes across the globe for centuries. Peter departed with the strangers. There were three Gentiles, six believers from Joppa, and Peter making a total of ten in the group. The six Christians from Joppa would verify the events that took place. Peter went to a place where he probably did not want to go, but he went anyway, following the leadership of the Holy Spirit. They went to Caesarea. The city of Caesarea was hated by the Jewish people. The Roman forces considered it to be the only civilized place in an uncivilized land. To the Jewish person, Caesarea symbolized the detested power of Rome. People today continue to worship men including athletes, popes, politicians, preachers, and music or movie stars to name a few. Understand, however, that all glory fades like a leaf.
