When Jesus returns, we will be caught in the act of serving him or not serving him. If we are true, our deeds will flow from a heart of love for Christ and His people. Love for Christ's people is indicative of a heart that loves Christ. So let us be real so that the reality of Jesus can be clearly seen in us. Let us be sincerely serving Jesus together in royal, loyal love! Remember, our actions will prove or disprove our faith. The last judgment will be a judgment according to evidence. Works are like witnesses. The question is not merely what we said, but what we did. No one is saved by works but no one is saved without them. They evidence the reality of our faith. Faith without works is dead. (James 2:11.) The true believer loves God and neighbor when no one is watching. They serve uncalculatingly! They will be surprised to hear any work of theirs commended. Those on the left hand, who are not Christ's, are calculating. If they knew it would have benefitted them, they would have done it. The heart of the matter is a matter of the heart!
