From Hebrews 11:1 we are called to perceive and lay hold of the great gift of faith. A gift from God that gives substance to the promises of God (our hopes) and makes us embrace them and persuades us of them. It is a gift that also helps us endure, as Moses, seeing Him who is invisible. It is a gift that lays hold of Jesus Christ and so is alive and vibrant. We are exhorted to cultivate such a lively faith, grow in grace, and praise God for such a great gift that not only saves but sustains us. Preached Sabbath AM on 12/20/20.
Outline: I. Faith gives substance. II. Faith sees the unseen. III. Faith becomes lively.
