I believe, as I look around me, that it ought to be obvious to people that there is a definite connection between sin and the distress and gloom that many find themselves in, even at this time of the year, when they ought to be joyful and happy. But many people are not joyful, and they are not happy, and the reason is, they do not see the connection. I would propose to you this morning that the remedy for a joyless spirit is to be found in believing the words which God has given to us here; “For unto us a Child is born.â€
