Joshua 11, Psalm 144, Jeremiah 5, Matthew 19
Here are some Scripture excerpts from today's Bible reading.
Ps 144:1 ¶ A Psalm of David. Blessed be the LORD my strength, which teacheth my hands to war, and my fingers to fight: Ps 144:2 My goodness, and my fortress; my high tower, and my deliverer; my shield, and he in whom I trust; who subdueth my people under me. Ps 144:3 LORD, what is man, that thou takest knowledge of him! or the son of man, that thou makest account of him! Ps 144:4 Man is like to vanity: his days are as a shadow that passeth away.
Jer 5:21 Hear now this, O foolish people, and without understanding; which have eyes, and see not; which have ears, and hear not: Jer 5:22 Fear ye not me? saith the LORD: will ye not tremble at my presence, which have placed the sand for the bound of the sea by a perpetual decree, that it cannot pass it: and though the waves thereof toss themselves, yet can they not prevail; though they roar, yet can they not pass over it? Jer 5:23 But this people hath a revolting and a rebellious heart; they are revolted and gone.
Jer 5:31 The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests bear rule by their means; and my people love to have it so:
Mt 19:28 And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That ye which have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel. Mt 19:29 And every one that hath forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name's sake, shall receive an hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life.
