Two people on the road to Emmaus, one Cleopus who must have lived there, were going back both excited and saddened. Joining them on the way a stranger who seemed to know nothing of what happened in Jerusalem, as they thought. After breaking bread their eyes were opened, they still didn't see the fulfillment of the Old Testament in Jesus Christ. Sometimes, we feel the same way as they did- worn out, discouraged, and saddened. But, one day we will see Him come back as He left in all of His glorious splendor. All we hear about is the coming election, and dirty laundry of candidates... We should be living in joy and hope and proclaim the gospel from the rooftops rather than living in frustration and despair like the world. It's time to suit up in the armor and tell people of God's mercy in a merciless world.
