To no other woman did Jesus ever say, "great is your faith." Since faith is so fundamental to the quality of our Christian experience, and to the measure of our personal influence on others (for better or worse), and most of all to our relationship with God ("W/O faith it is impossible to please Him") it behooves us to do what she did. The passage gives numerous facets of trial that are more or less common to all those who seek to live by faith.
