This morning, we will address one of the prophecies concerning the Lord Jesus Christ. The Prophet Isaiah saw the Suffering Servant of the LORD and wrote about Him over seven hundred years in advance. You will be amazed at what you learn about our Savior. The focus of this message will be how Isaiah said Jesus would be “A Root out of Dry Ground.” If you know anything about seeds, soil, and agricultural principles, you already know that a seed cannot germinate without moisture. Therefore, how can you have a root spring up from dry ground. How can a seed sprout when there is nothing of the earth to spur the germination? The arrival of Jesus in this world, His impact on the world through His death, burial, and resurrection, and His growing Kingdom today is miraculous, heavenly, and powerful. It is encouraging for those in ministry who wonder How can we accomplish the task at hand. I was encouraged Monday morning when this verse was impressed on my heart and hope you will be as wel. From Isaiah 53, we will consider the following 1) The Prophet's is Amazed at How Few Believe the Gospel 2) The Prophet Sees the Servant's Humility 3) The Prophet Sees the Servant's Rejection. How can God grow anything in the middle of the desert land of the world filled with unbelief, pride, and rejection. You will see. Let's dive in together. |
