Thanksgiving is a national holiday that reminds people on one particular day to do what they ought to every day, give God thanks in and for everything. While human beings intuitively understand the value of gratitude in relationships with one another, they often find it difficult and awkward to give thanks to God, resulting in trivial and superficial expressions of gratitude. Roman 1:21 explains the sinful source of humanity's difficulty with rendering appropriate thanks to God.
