Psalm 22 is a Messianic psalm meaning it speaks directly about the work of Jesus Christ. It is written by David, but it is not about David. It is about the Greater David (Mat 27:46 --> Psalm 22:1, Mat 27:39-43 ---> Psalm 22:7-8). The verses we are looking at tonight show that as a result of the work of Christ on the cross there are going to be Servants of Christ. (1) Christ will always have a people to serve Him (22:30). Christ's successful work on the cross guarantees that there will be a seed to serve him. (2) Christ's servants have a story to tell (22:31a). (3) The work of Christ for His servants is a finished work (22:31b).
