Understanding, No, Not One? Further in-depth study, so we Won’t Get Fooled Again!
In our pastor's ongoing work into our study of Romans 1-11 he thinks it makes perfect sense that it should take us into 1 Samuel 28. Is he right about that? We say, "Duh. Of course." But we'll let you listen... and you decide if he is. Because it's important that you know what Romans 3 is really saying. There are so many that have become susceptible to the false doctrine of Calvinism because they don't know what Paul is actually referring to in this passage when he quotes from the Old Testament, "There is none righteous, no, not one; There is none who understands; There is none who seeks after God." And at this point it would be a really good idea to go back and listen to a few previous lectures to get the full scope and background on this quote. But listen to this for now if you'd like and then, when you go back and listen, this lecture will become even more clear with all of the passages we delve into with regard to Romans 3:9-18. Otherwise, you will have a shallow understanding of the Book of Romans, and we do not wish that for any of you. Pastor now repeats the Cliffside motto, "Were you weird before you came to Cliffside? Or did Cliffside make you weird?" That may make more sense in a little bit.
