When God Uses Somebody Else and Rewards for a Cup of Water
Jesus said, "He who is not against us is for us." Those are the two options. For Christ or against Him. There are two sides in the Great War -- God and Satan. There is no neutral ground and no third side. We are either on one side or another. Every person you have ever met is either for Christ or against Him. John spoke to Jesus and told Him that they had seen a man casting out demons in Christ's name and they had tried to stop him. Christ said they erred. Do not forbid him. He who is not against us is for us. In a day when false teachers, false churches and false Christians abound, we who are true must guard against a narrow, provincial partisanship that limits the grace of God to ourselves or our local church or our particular denomination. Certainly there are many out there who are false, but they are not false simply because they are not with us. God distributes His grace amongst others, and we should rejoice in that. The third part of the text deals with the rewards we receive when we do any thing -- even small things like giving water -- for another believer in Christ. Christ makes note of all such actions and remembers them. And He will reward us accordingly.
