Arthur and Dottie Rymer were dear friends who held a special place in our hearts. Brother Arthur, a dedicated pastor who served in numerous churches throughout his ministry, proudly bore the distinction of being a graduate of Liberty University. Revered for his unwavering faith and adorned with a delightful dry humor, he left an enduring impression on all who knew him. Brother Arthur's passion for conveying the significance of God's commandments was evident in his endeavors. He embarked on a mission to visit every school in Bartow County, initiating a county-wide campaign to emphasize the importance of the Ten Commandments. His tireless efforts culminated in the installation of a statue representing the Ten Commandments at Dillinger Park in Cartersville, Georgia. When the time comes for me to cross the threshold of Heaven's Gates, I know I'll be eagerly searching for Brother Arthur, longing for the joy of our reunion in the presence of our Heavenly Father. This sentiment is echoed in Exodus 20:4, which cautions against the worship of graven images: "You shall not make for yourself a carved image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth." Brother Arthur's life epitomized this commandment, as he steadfastly upheld the worship of the one true God and tirelessly encouraged others to do the same, steering clear of idolatry in all its forms. |
