Recently, I was rereading through one of the two prayers the Apostle Paul prayed while in prison for serving Christ. It is found in Ephesians 1:15-23. He was overjoyed to hear about the Ephesian saint's faith in the Lord Jesus and of the love they had for all the saints. He told them that he continually gave thanks to God for His work among them and kept them in his prayers. As he began to pray to the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, he made some requests to the Lord on their behalf. In Ephesians 1:18, the Apostle Paul prays that the eyes of your understanding being enlightened. He was not speaking of our natural eyes. He was praying for the spiritual vision or eyes of the heart to be illuminated or flooded with light. Basically, he wanted them to see reality. REALITY. We often focus on the things that we can see with our natural eyes. However, we have been called to walk by faith and not by sight. In this message, we will get a glimpse of Christ's Ascension and session at the Father's right hand.
