Canaan is a land of hills and valleys and the Lord is the God of the hills as well as the valleys. We must approach each season knowing that the Lord is in charge of each. James, begins with the season(s) of affliction or hardship. There are great difficulties of which we face as children of God. James gives us the remedy: that he/she who is going through the season of affliction should pray. We are to pour out or situation unto the Lord.
