The apostle Paul knew what he had taught the churches in Galatia and he knew what they had professed to believe. Turning back to the Law was going back into slavery. Their putting themselves back under the Law was no different than the pagans who put themselves under the religious requirements of a particular paganism. In either situation, being under the Law or a religious pagan system is to be a slave. The requirements of any false religious system enslaves the worshiper who must depend on that system. The result is a relationship with that demon who owns the worshiper and controls them.
