Bildad the Shuhite has God all figured out - or so he thinks. God is all about justice, he rewards the righteous and punishes the bad. Job is suffering terribly, so he is wicked; Job's children died early, so they had sinned against God. The trouble with Bildad's theology is that it is too narrow, too contracted, for God as he actually is; it has no view of suffering except as punishment, and no place for a final judgement. Worst of all, it has no place for the Cross.
