“ Subtile... ” "Christ was made sin for us, who knew no sin." This is the plain teaching of 2 Cor 5:21. There is no doubt that He never sinned in his nature, for He knew no sin. But He was made sin. Isn't that worse than being a sinner? Isn't that why God the Father forsook Him? God couldn't condemn Him if he remained just, read Proverbs 17:15 "He that justifieth the wicked, and he that condemneth the just, even they both are abomination to the LORD." What about Psalm 40:12? That the sins of all those whom the Father has given to Him were imputed to him there can be no doubt. The real question is what is it for the Lord Jesus to be charged (imputed) with my sin, if he is not actually made guilty of the charge? Or more importantly what is it for me to be charged with His righteousness if I am not actually made righteous? I mean right now. Righteous before God. Not guilty of any sin I ever committed or ever will commit? Every sin I have ever committed were yet future at the time they were imputed (charged) to Him. Every one of them. What? Will this make me "live like I want to" and sin more and more? God forbid! I wish I could live like I want to. Oh, wretched man that I am! But thanks be to God for His great love wherewith He loved us. Eph 2:1-10.

“ standing for the truth ” I thank the LORD for your stand on the truth, that the Elect's sins were imputed to Christ, Laid upon Him, they were not put in Him. The true church has always believed that the sins were laid upon Him.
