Surely God must have made me for the purpose of doing small things. I’ve never accomplished great and mighty things in life, neither has anyone ever accused me of being very smart. But I have been compelled to tackle pint sized things, little things my size. God knows my capacity.

But don’t be depressed if you have never won a world series ball game, if you have never climbed the highest mountains, or never obtained name, fame, power or prestige in the sight of men. God made you, knows you, and is satisfied if you are seeking with all your heart to live in the center of His precious will. If you can never do anything but little things, well, just do many of them.

Dorcas in the Bible had only a little sewing needle to work with, but got recorded in the Bible. A little boy with five barley loaves and two small fishes turned them over to Jesus. Jesus took them and fed a multitude. Gideon won a great war for God when he was out numbered greatly. David took a small sling shot and won a battle for God that Saul and all the army of Israel could not win. “Little is much when God is in it.” Use what you have.

Once in America God used a little man by the name of D. L. Moody to win over a million souls while he was living, and his work is still going on winning multitudes to Christ. If you consider yourself small there is no telling how many people God could help you to win to Christ. Moody made himself available and that is what you and I must do and leave the rest to God who is able.

Billy Graham did not consider himself big at all when he left those North Carolina hills many years ago, but he followed a big God who let him see hundreds of thousands fall at the feet of Jesus. He was simply big enough to be small enough to obey the Almighty with great eternal results. Little was much because God was in it.
