There is always sadness in those words, “Goodbye.” I would much rather be able to say, “So long, see you a little later.” When I preached the funerals of men and women I could say in some cases, “Today we don’t say goodbye to Mr. (whoever it was) but so long, and we who are saved will see him in Heaven.” But sadly for some who never came to know Christ, it really could not be said. So we just tried to help and comfort the loved ones. If you are lost today, some-day you will have to say goodbye to your Christian loved ones. They are going up and you are going down. But remember you do not have to.

For all those who take refuge in Jesus Christ, listen to the following verses by Paul concerning the love of Christ. Romans 8:35-39, “Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written, for thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
