We hear people telling what they think are funny jokes about “Hell,” and saying they want to go there because most of their friends are there. Their laughing will end and crying will begin the moment they arrive in Hell. There is no time for fellowship when they are burning, suffering, and screaming out in remorse as they occupy the corridors of the doomed and damned. If you are lost today, you are only one heartbeat from Hell. Thousands have fallen into that horrible place just since I started writing this article. I hope you are not the next one.

I have preached many funerals down through the years and have heard others preach many funerals. Most of the ones I’ve heard just seem to preach the deceased into heaven! I know a few of them did go to heaven, but most of them went to Hell in spite of all the beautiful words that were spoken. We can’t buy our way, bribe our way, steal our way, or earn our way to Heaven. John 3:7 tells us we must be born again (new birth) or we will not have even a glimpse of Heaven. Jesus bought it for whosoever will repent of his sins and experience the new birth by accepting Christ as their Saviour. If you have never been born again (new birth) it would have been better for you if you had never been born into the world.
