The trip over here was thankfully uneventful. The "Passport Plus" was a really good idea. It was nice to have a first class lounge to wait in. They let me stay all night -- I thought they would make me leave after a couple of hours but they let me stay longer and I could have stayed there right up until my flight was called if I'd been able to get a boarding pass when I showed up in Bangkok. So, the longest layover was much more comfortable than in trips gone by.
I was able to get a little bit of review done on the airplanes and in the airports. There wasn't really anything to "write," because I have all that done from keeping my nose to the grindstone before I actually left. This is probably also a good time (my first update and nothing has happened of any importance) to let everyone know that I'll also be updating my blog from time to time on the sermonaudio site. I know I have a couple of other blogsites, but for now I'm going to use the sermonaudio site. The main page is http://fpcr.sermonaudio.com and then you will click on the portion that says either "blog" or "my blog" and that will take you to the latest entry first. For those who have not previously looked, there is also a picture gallery for the Mission To Myanmar on the sermonaudio site.
One other quick "not really newsy yet" item. Before I left I made a VCD (that is *like* a DVD, only different somehow) of the orphanage pictures. I won't be able to make anymore before I get back to the US, but if you want one (yep, free of charge) please contact Mrs. Bacon and ask her to place your name on the waiting list. We have a master and it may well be that we can simply make copies and get these out before I get back. But since I'm on the other side of the world, I find it difficult to promise anything. Send your name to Mrs. Bacon (debbybacon1@verizon.net) and she'll at least get your name on a list.
