This sermon will both castigate and challenge those professing Calvinists who naively suggest that apostolic miracles are for today, as well as those who tacitly, and dangerously, approve charismatic Calvinists by a passive and permissive attitude towards them. This is not a secondary issue. Let us be like the Bereans and "search the scriptures, whether these things be so," and, with God's help, we will search the scriptures. Sometimes at the beginning of my father's sermons, he would tell the congregation, "Put on your shock absorbers and fasten your seat belts." That exhortation will hold true for this Sunday's sermon.
