Faith is not mysterious. As Christians we are not to be mystics. Our method of Biblical interpretation must be sound. We are not to go by emotion, feeling or even try to squeeze a text into our theological hobby-horse of a box. God reveals His truth through a means: THE GOSPEL OF GRACE! The is only one true gospel.

This gospel is not merely a set of historical facts, though that is included. The gospel is the record of the how and the why of the LORD Jesus Christ glorifying His Father in the salvation of sinners. It Revealed in it is the righteousness of God (Rom 1:17), which makes it the very power of God unto salvation. It shows how God can be both a just God and Savior. Some have boiled it down to calling it the Person and work of Christ that includes the purpose of God behind it. Many false churches have watered a "gospel" down to the point of a god "trying" to save everybody but not being able to.

Those who would accuse our church of preaching a gospel that is too complicated have not taken the time to actually think past the end of their nose. The false gospel is the complicated gospel. It is full of additions and subtractions in the form of conditions. The simplicity or singleness of Christ and His true gospel is the most uncomplicated thing in the world to God's people. Christ ALONE. Christ is ALL. Salvation by SOVEREIGN GRACE and NOT by works or conditions of any kind. Salvation is of the LORD. These ideas are very simple. False religion is the one making things complicated and a mystery.

Are we training up the next generation so they can teach God's gospel in a world permeated with Satan's lie? Are we challenging their minds? Are the minds sound? Are they sober minded? Are they confident with much assurance and peace, leaning only on Christ and hating every false way? May God raise up His people to preach the gospel with boldness. Who is ready? Who is being prepared to be ready. We crave growth more and more in our spiritual minds, the mind of Christ. God help us do this His way.
