CALL TO WORSHIP
Come, Thou long-expected Jesus,
Born to set Thy people free;
From our fears and sins release us,
Let us find our rest in Thee.
Israel’s strength and consolation,
Hope of all the saints Thou art;
Dear desire of every nation;
Joy of every longing heart.
Born Thy people to deliver,
Born a child – and yet a King;
Born to reign in us forever,
Now Thy precious Kingdom bring.
By Thine own Eternal Spirit,
Rule in every heart alone;
By Thine all sufficient merit,
Raise us to Thy glorious throne.

Congratulations to Jack and Lucy Leith who were married this week. May our Lord be pleased to bless this new couple with a long, loving, and happy marriage.
We will have New Year’s Eve Service beginning at 6:00 p.m. We will observe the Lord’s Table and have a time of fellowship after the service.
Christ did not come to make salvation possible for as many people as might someday decide to accept him as their personal savior. The Lord Jesus Christ came into the world to make salvation CERTAIN for all those the Father gave Him in the covenant of grace. If this is not so, it is not possible for any sinner to be saved.
Pastor
We are all completely dependent upon God to save, to call, to keep, and to provide. The more we learn to lean wholly on Him, the more calmness and quietness of soul we will enjoy.

NO NEED - Mark 2:17
They that are whole have no need of the physician, but they that are sick: I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.
What brought that pitiful leper to the Lord Jesus Christ? What caused that poor woman with the issue of blood to crawl through that throng of people so that she might touch the hem of Christ’s garment? What caused Bartimaeus to “cry the more a great deal” when he was told to be quiet? What did all these folks have in common? NEED! What will cause a woman to come to a well? Thirst! What will cause a man to come to the dinner table? Hunger! What will cause men and women to go to a doctor? Sickness! What will cause a sinner to come to the Savior? Sin! Why do so many refuse to come to Christ that they might have life? They have no need! It is not a lack of interest that causes sinners to perish. Any lack of interest in Christ is a lack of NEED!
Pastor David Eddmenson
SALVATION BY GRACE
Salvation is wholly of grace; not only undeserved , but undesired by us, till He is pleased to awaken us to a sense of our need of it. And then we find everything prepared that our wants require, or our wishes conceive; yea, that he has done exceedingly beyond what we could either ask or think. Salvation is wholly of the Lord, and bears those signatures of infinite wisdom, power, and goodness, which distinguish all his works from the puny imitations of men. It is every way worthy of Himself, a great, a free, a full, a sure salvation. It is great, whether we consider the objects, miserable and hell-deserving sinners; the end, the restoration of such alienated creatures to his image and favor, to immortal life and happiness; or the means, the incarnation, humiliation, sufferings, and death of his beloved Son. It is free, without exception of persons, or cases, without any conditions or qualifications, but such as he himself performs in them, and bestows upon them.
