The chaos of the world, descending into madness all around us can make us afraid, withering our strength; it can make us angry, erasing our restraint; or it can make us apathetic, destroying our souls. The solution to all of these is to trust in the Lord and to LOVE Him as He deserves to be loved. The thing we need to remember, is that ultimately, the things that derail our reason and our determination to act also effectively destroy our ability to even recognize the NEED. Our vision shrinks to a myopic view of self preservation, a "survive at all costs" ideology that blinds us to the greater, larger world around us. But having our eyes and affection fixed upon God enlarges our hearts, it lifts us up and sets our feet upon the high places. We understand that God is with us, and that He is always faithful. The Father will be found to be exactly who He has said He is; and further, He will accomplish ALL He has ordained and fulfill EVERY promise He has ever made. He WILL preserve His own, and He WILL pour out His vengeance against every proud and arrogant heart that exalts itself against His will. All that is to say that the fight is not ours. The world is engaged in a battle against God. It is a battle that the world will surely lose. It is a battle that will end with God as Victor and every single one of His children safe in His everlasting arms. With this in mind, we must understand that courage is our birthright. We need not fear the world, we need not quail at its anger, at its reproach.. we need not stumble in the onslaught of shame and hatred against truth...for God will fight for His glory and the fame of His precious Son. Our God will set all things to rights, and He will display His own perfection, establish true justice and sweep all who glory in themselves into the fire of His eternal wrath. Fear not, oh child of God, your Father sees all your sorrow and all your need, He knows your distress and He will repay! Be of good courage, the day of your deliverance draws near!
