Simple ways… the word here means foolish, ignorant, silly… there are many foolish paths, and all lead to death. We are so often guilty of trying to define our own meaning, our own purpose, instead instead of seeking guidance from the One who made us FOR a purpose. We want to make our own ways, our own paths, "follow our own stars"; we look at what God offers and say to ourselves, " I can do better than that"... but actually the truth is this; there is an endless host of ways to live so as to die - but there is only ONE path of wisdom. There is only one way that leads to life. It is only the way of the Lord, knowledge of the Holy One, the fear of the Lord! Life, wisdom, insight - all are the same stuff, all are the manifest fruit of knowing God and committing to walk in the way (singular) that He has decreed. While there are as many expressions of this path as there are people to walk on it, there is still only the one path... it's boundaries are laid out by the will of God, it's course set by His own decree, its duration determined in the infinite counsel of eternity. We each live, move and have our being within this single work of omnipotent God, and the knowledge of Him allows and enables us to live our lives in the glory of wisdom, in the peace and comfort that only comes from knowing true purpose, with the manifest presence of the living God!! Beloved, do not sell the glory of knowing God for the cheap thrills of imagined "freedom"; real freedom only comes when we move inside the constraints of God's will. Find your purpose in knowing Him and see the wonder of what life is meant to be... To God Alone be the Glory.
