Yesterday the President of the United States declared "the eternal truth that every child born and unborn, is made in the holy image of God!"
This is cause for rejoicing! Something has gone terribly wrong if you're so committed to abolishing abortion that you can't rejoice when the President makes what is arguably the most Biblical, pro-baby, anti-abortion, pro-church, pro-religious freedom statement of any president since Roe v. Wade:
"Today, I am announcing that I will be signing the born alive executive order to ensure that all precious babies born alive, no matter their circumstances, receive the medical care that they deserve. This is our sacrosanct moral duty...We believe in...the eternal truth that every child born and unborn, is made in the holy image of God. I will always protect the vital role of religion and prayer in American society and I will always defend the sacred right to life." -President Donald Trump, https://youtu.be/ms-0z6UCsx8?t=67
Is a Presidential Executive Order that protects the lives of babies that are accidentally born alive while an abortion doctor is trying to murder them worthy of thanksgiving? Of course it is! Is it our end goal? Of course it isn't! The total end of baby genocide is the end goal.
Does the President's unprecedented statement provide the foundational Biblical truth that can, in time, by God's gracious power and providence, result in the total abolition and end of baby genocide? Praise God...yes it does! President Donald Trump boldly declared "the eternal truth that every child born and unborn, is made in the holy image of God" and Planned Parenthood, NARAL, and every abortion supporter will hate and fear him all the more for it. That kind of Biblical statement can't be allowed, because they know if it catches on it will be the God-ordained wedge of "eternal truth" that cracks the foundation and leads to the undoing of Roe v. Wade and all of the abortion industries' lies.
Should the President's assurance that he "will always protect the vital role of religion and prayer in American society" along with his active defense of Pastor John MacArthur and Grace Community Church compel us to rejoice in a President who is genuinely fighting for our Constitutional liberty to congregate, worship, and preach God's Law and Gospel freely from sea to shining sea as the power of God unto salvation and the only sure eternal and temporal remedy for every kind of sin? Yes and amen!
Every Christian should pray for and work toward the total abolition of abortion, but if you can't rejoice in the President's Born Alive Executive Order, unprecedented declaration of "the eternal truth that every child born and unborn, is made in the holy image of God!" and his unflinching commitment to defend religious liberty...the late Dr. R.C. Sproul has a question for you, "What's wrong with you people?"
