Here is the beating heart of the Gospel. It is the very definition of justification, the application of sanctification, and the display of our glorification and the promise of our adoption as sons. Everything we have, everything we are, everything we ever hope to be comes from this perfect, glorious, merciful ground of God's Amazing Grace! It is this powerful truth which tells us that there IS hope for us. It is this compelling promise that calls to cast ourselves UPON that hope. It is this quickening grace that turns that hope into forgiveness when the righteousness of Jesus Christ is imputed to us while our sin and ruin is washed away in the atoning flood of His precious blood, His Divine, perfect, innocent blood... that blood, shed for the filthiest, and most deplorable wrecks changes us into perfect and holy, completely accepted children of the Most High God. He who was our sworn enemy, has become our loving Father, He whose throne we would have cast into the depths in fire and destruction, has made us sons and heirs of all He possesses, He who judges the world in truth and righteousness, gives to us the very righteousness by which He judges as our own new nature!!! It is incomprehensible, it is absolutely unbelievable, it is beyond our grasp and still, at the bottom of it all, it is the plain and simple truth, fact without embellishment, God's oath to His own glory. We are made perfect, righteous, holy, and pure. Rejoice, oh beloved and favored child, your elder Brother, has shared all He IS with you. Jesus paid the price which your sin demanded; He became your death, and you inherit His life!!!
