No matter what you do (exercise, eat healthy, and the list goes on and on) you are going to die one day. Death is the lowest common denominator of men no matter how rich they are, poor they are, and so forth. As creation was dragged into sin He is the ONLY hope and there is no other antidote which makes Easter Sunday the heart of the Gospel! How is it that so many deny the resurrection? We are no longer most miserable but have life in the midst of death because Christ is risen!

Indeed: Christ's resurrection is noted over and over throughout scripture though no human eye saw it or could see it being carnal. That is why the Lord appeared to men and the proofs of the resurrection are absolute. It is verified by many infallible proofs and the evidences are manifold. The large stone rolled away, the appearance of the angel recorded, and Christ's appearances after which were 10 times in 40 days! It was only when Mary looked with the eyes of faith did she see! The Emmaus travelers, Thomas putting his hand in Christ's side, many attending His great commission.....what Christ wept for at the death of Lazarus as those around could not see life in the midst of death. The resurrection hits the same to some now days with those around concerned more about an earthly holiday than Christ's resurrection!

From the dead: He is risen from the dear! The very thing we struggle with! Death and decay. One day we will be close to it and will die. A result of sin as Paul wants us to understand. We are guilty in Adam with the result being death as sin and the curse of God. There is much more than living and death and being buried though. You meet God in His wrath, indignation, and judgment. But He finished it and like the malefactor hanging on the cross next to Jesus who saw everything with the eyes of faith He would be in paradise TODAY! We were asked in we saw the glory in His suffering and death and now we celebrate and see the victory in Christ over the grave and over death as He "tore the bars away!" Death is swallowed up in victory!

First fruits: And all of creation is lifted up with Him. Environmentalists think this earth is theirs but the only hope is in Christ! The first fruits of them that slept. In the harvest they had to waive the 1st sheath of the harvest before the Lord to symbolize it was ALL the Lords. It is the first fruits of those that sleep...not those who are dead, but those who sleep! We sow the weak that is will be made powerful....corruption to glory!

They will one day bury you and they will bury me...but don't be afraid as we have life and death cannot touch us any longer. We will be with Him in glory praising Him and singing with the angels for all eternity. We often sing the hymn "Abide with me" Sign it to the mountain tops in faith! Christ is risen!
