As the trials come, God gives more, more grace, more grace, more grace!! Notice the connection between the sufferings of Christ and the consolation which He gives. Even as His sufferings abound, so also, in the same manner abounds our comfort which comes from Him. It is this gift that displays His tender heart for us. He endured suffering on our account, paying the debt our sin deserved, but also He shared in the sorrows and heartbreaks, the pain and the anguish that comes from living in this fallen world. He endured temptation, struggled against the flesh victoriously, and faced the wrath of His Holy Father, all for the sake of His great love for His own... and in the same manner that God calls us to live outside ourselves in the midst of our trials, so He also provides the comfort we need to do so... but don't miss this, it comes to us in exactly the same way. Jesus stood in the place of suffering, with us on His heart and mind, so that we could know the place of healing. The path is identical, the process the same... do not ever forget AS you are called to translate you own pain into someone else's good, you have RECEIVED in the very same manner. And the scope of this translation goes beyond just comfort, it also becomes a tool in the hand of God for the communication of saving grace. Your trials can thus become someone else's key to salvation!!! What wondrous purpose God ordains for all our lives, praise Him for His mercy!!!
