Psalm 40:16–17 (NKJV): Let all those who seek You rejoice and be glad in You; Let such as love Your salvation say continually,
“The Lord be magnified!”
But I am poor and needy;
Yet the Lord thinks upon me.
You are my help and my deliverer;
Do not delay, O my God.
Let us say continually... what a wonderful picture, the constant declaration of praise, the continuing sound of worship, the eternal rhythm of life lived to the glory of our God. It brings gladness, it brings joy, it brings hope. And all of this is done in the lives of those who LOVE His salvation... those who know that God alone has done the work of redemption. It is that awareness, that we are without power, without strength, without even the ability to seek Him that drives us to our knees in worship. For despite that total inability we find ourselves seeking, loving, trusting... and all because God Himself sought us!! We are poor and needy, yet our God...thinks...on...us. Consider that, oh blood bought child, and let the praise of your King sound forth without ceasing!!
