When The Abnormal Seems Normal
WHEN THE ABNORMAL SEEMS NORMAL Rev. A.J. Ogden
It doesn’t make much difference what mankind thinks is right, but what God says about something is true. In Proverbs 14:12 the Bible says, “There is a way which seemeth right unto a man; but the end thereof are the ways of death.” We live in a society of do as you will, anything goes, if it’s okay to you go ahead and do it, and where God’s word is the last thing anyone considers. If Hollywood promotes it, if society doesn’t frown on it, it is acceptable to many people, but not to God!
God has a few real Christians who read his love letter (the Bible), believe it, and obey it, and happy are they! But for the most part Americans listen more to the popular voices of the lost or liberal ungodly media. Satan makes sin look beautiful and right. But remember “that sin, when it is finished, bringeth for death”. Romans 6:23 says, “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Satan is a deceiver and the father of lies.
Many folks are so upside down that they believe good is bad and bad is good. We are so abnormal spiritually that we believe abnormality is normality and being normal is abnormal and way out! The world considers you a strange creature if you are pure, and if you don’t dope, gamble, commit adultery, never drink alcohol, honest, faithful to worship and walk with God. If you are a soul winner the world really thinks you are not normal! But my friends, to be normal is God’s sight (and that’s all that matters) is to be obedient to Christ and his causes. Follow the compass, which is the Bible, for directions in life. It will take God to make us normal! Let him have his way. Will you? Must Jesus bear the cross alone?
