We could use all this space talking about the faults, failures, and short comings of America! I am grieved and frequently come to tears about her spiritual decline. All of us need to pray for America the beautiful, that we will return to God!

But after having said all that, America is still the best place on earth to live. People are still coming in here from north, south, and everywhere. No nation on earth has ever been blessed more than America. We have seen ups and downs, hills and valleys, wars and rumors of wars. God has brought us through recessions, depressions, and troubles within and without! Rivers of blood have been shed to preserve this God given freedom we so often take for granted.

We have done more good on earth than any other nation. No other country has fed as many hungry, built as many orphan’s homes, given as much relief to starving nations as the USA. Anywhere on earth where there is a natural disaster, America is there to help. The Red Cross and other organizations are always about the first to arrive at an earthquake or other disasters. Some of those countries do not even like us very much but we are there to help them.

While many take for granted all the blessings God has given us, other people from other countries are trying to come in here in greater numbers than we can absorb! They try to swim in from Cuba, slip in from Mexico, and risk their lives to come by the thousands from everywhere. Illegal immigration is a great problem. Surely all these people must think America is the greatest place on earth. We are almost to the point of building walls to keep them out. Something is right about America and others know it. Do we?

A lot of thanksgiving on our part would be a great need of this hour. We are far too negative. Let us accentuate the positive and eliminate the negative.
