British police break up baptism service that defied lockdown
About 30 people had gathered at The Angel Church in Clerkenwell, north London, on Sunday in defiance of the national coronavirus restrictions.

Officers stood at the entrance of the evangelical church to stop people from entering, while two police vans and a police car were parked outside.

After police spoke with the pastor, he agreed not to go ahead with the indoor service and baptism, but a socially distanced outdoor gathering was held instead.

That is totally illogical that Spiritualist Church would get so bent out of shape about having salvation tracts left there.
It would be, John, except I forgot to mention that I entered the building with ten minutes to go before the Sunday morning meeting started. When I was offered a hymnbook by the usher at the door, I said, "No thanks, I'm the preacher!"

And so I walked up to the front of the church and began reading out my scripture texts which condemned them for trying to raise the dead and 'get a message' from beyond the grave.

It was at that point they threw me out and called the police. They locked the front door of the building, and a little old lady walked up trying to get in the meeting, but I told her there was no meeting today, and she went home.

A police officer arrived in a van, and so I told him what evil things they were doing inside that building. He agreed with me, and told me he was a Catholic. I had a nice time talking with him.

Ah, the things a young Christian does, in zeal for the Lord, without sufficient knowledge.

I hope these police officers were all offered a tract. When I went into a Spiritualist Church as a young Christian, with a stack of scripture verses to show them their error, I was thrown out physically and the police were called. So when the police van arrived I spent some time witnessing to the police officer, and I hope he got saved.

Amen Brother!

Acts 16:27 And the keeper of the prison awaking out of his sleep, and seeing the prison doors open, he drew out his sword, and would have killed himself, supposing that the prisoners had been fled.

28 But Paul cried with a loud voice, saying, Do thyself no harm: for we are all here.

29 Then he called for a light, and sprang in, and came trembling, and fell down before Paul and Silas,

30 And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved?

31 And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.

32 And they spake unto him the word of the Lord, and to all that were in his house.

My Baptist Church is going to have an indoor Baptism via immersion in December at an indoor hotel pool. I may attend if I know who is getting Baptized.

Gatherings of more than one government official should be banned until the end of the pandemic. And that one should only be allowed to meet outdoors—preferably in the desert.
