Amid ‘indescribable times,’ St. Louis homicide rate reaches historic levels
The same scenes play out time and again for police Lt. Scott Aubuchon’s homicide detectives when they arrive to investigate another death in the city: yellow police tape, the wails of family and evidence technicians scouring for bullet casings.
Aubuchon’s team is struggling to keep up as the city contends with a homicide rate that, by year’s end, likely will be the worst in at least a half-century.
The number of killings soared over the summer as detectives were called to 114 homicides in June, July and August. There were 53 people killed in the city in July alone....
This is where I was born and raised,on the "hill", to be precise. I've had many people tell me that if I were to go back there, I would no longer recognize it. I am deeply sorry to hear this. Just one more example of what happens when in the best case scenario, we place our political agenda above God's Word. And, in the worst case scenario, we totally disregard God and His Word.
Unlike the Cancel Culture which cannot stand any voice except its own, I appreciate how SA has handled Jim. They have limited his posts when he goes too far afield in his agenda. But otherwise, they have permitted him to speak freely on their servers. Big Tech would have cancelled us by now. SA has shown grace. In doing so, they have reflected the grace that the Lord has shown them, and us who believe. My Hope is that Jim doesn't mistake grace for slackness in the same manner as 2 Peter 3. Judgement is coming. Kiss the Son now while He is but a little angry. Make peace thru Him then fall in behind Him as your Lord and Savior.
I don’t think comments like Jim’s should be allowed. It’s not possible to be that stupid and blind to what really is going on. Anyone with a kindergarten education can see what’s really going on.
Perhaps Mr. Lincoln would prefer an Attorney General who is appointed by the President to uphold the law and then conspires with the same President to ignore the law. That’s how the Obama administration handled it.
I am grateful for AG Barr and for his stance against unconstitutional government intrusion. There have been too many AGs in the past who have done everything in their power to abuse citizens and their rights, including in the BHO Administration.
Romans 13 is as much a guide for the purpose of government as it is to us for how to deal with government.
Let the wicked make all the faces they want. The Lord holds them in derision. Psalm 2 applies.

An excellent comment! Societies will seek what the Lord gives them, but not the Lord. We are seeing that throughout the world. Nothing has changed and your Isaiah verse was right on.
Isaiah 31:1 Woe to them that go down to Egypt for help; and stay on horses, and trust in chariots, because they are many; and in horsemen, because they are very strong; but they look not unto the Holy One of Israel, neither seek the Lord!
Matthew 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
(Continued) The lawless now believe that they can act with impunity, and no one will stop them. The rise in murder rate proves that. So now there is a perfect soup for lawless activity that will NOT be improved by the Democratic party that has been hijacked by Che Guevara wannabe's. No matter what people from Nebraska think.
Being from Missouri, I will weigh in. The problems the police are facing are multifaceted and unfortunate. We are living in an era of intolerance: I'm not talking about racial or sexual intolerance, but I mean intolerance of rules. We have seen multiple political movements taking advantage of current stressors in society, and they all have a goal of political destabilization—on the far left, ANTIFA. On the far right, you have your Bubba groups. They are encouraging the lawless to act out. Riots, violence, looting—basically these are terrorists. The liberal media is telling them THAT is how you get justice, and is not only making it socially acceptable, but are even romanticizing that type of behavior. But then you have police in a corner. On one hand, the lawless—emboldened by the media—are actively hunting the police. How many officers have been ambushed in the last few months? On the other hand, "social justice warriors," (it's hard to not throw up saying that,) are busy trying to second guess every decision an officer makes, demonizing them for every action. Trying to defund them, etc... Many officers are fed up—should they continue to put their lives on the line? The lawless now believe that they can act with impunity, and no one will stop them. The rise in murder rate pro

I don't think blowhards like AG Barr are funny. I think they are disastrous for the country. I know I'm looking forward to trying to get him and his associates out of the government on November 3rd ❗ 👍
By the way, when did : huh : particularly mean anything amusing? I find very little musing about the present administration
I must pray for you Jim Lincoln even though it’s not always easy. You use these faces at the end of your comments as this is a joke the topic is about murder skyrocketing and you think it’s a joke you think this is a game man. People are getting killed and you joke about it
So how is Operation Legend by Attorney General Barr Working out since St Louis is one of the cities targeted for this federal program? It doesn't look like this program is working as well as it should in Saint Louis at least?
