Heroes of the faith such as C.T. Studd, George Mueller, etc, gave their fortunes away and trusted on the Lord to provide, which he did in abundace. And yet with all the money which came through his hands, unasked for except to God, millions of pounds, Mueller left but a couple of hundred pounds, and a legacy of thousands of saved rescued children, and orphanages in Bristol. Remember our saviour and Lord? He had nowhere to lay His head even. Jesus said, ‚Äúyou have not because you ask not.‚ÄĚ The heroes of the faith asked of him, and He provided all that they needed. Jehovah Jireh was their watchword.
This isn’t so much pastors and churches in Britain, USA, Canada, Australia but those in the 3rd World. These dear pastors have to do tent making to earn their living, as the folks in their congregation are literally earning just pennies. They often live in much more tyrannical countries than ours, where the lockdowns and church restrictions were much harsher, and infractions were dealt with by beatings, arrest, huge fines out of all proportions to their earnings, and jail and where in many countries the churches still haven’t been allowed to gather and there may still be stern restrictions in their businesses. I know one or two areas in the West like California and Melbourne Victoria Australia are fast getting that way, with their tyrannical rulers, but by and large, we have got off lightly in comparison!
I would expect some churches in this country are having problems of income. Something for the laity to think about. I don't see much in the article how to help these foreign pastors any, sending out a check might be easy for taking care of local churches? ‚úćÔłŹūüõź
