China removes over 900 church crosses in first half of 2020: report
In the first half of 2020, over 900 crosses were removed from state-run churches across China amid Xi Jinping’s ongoing crackdown on places of worship, according to the Italian-based magazine Bitter Winter.

According to the religious liberty magazine, crosses were removed from over 250 state-run Three-Self churches in the eastern province of Anhui, which has the second-largest Christian population in China, in the first four months of the year. Additionally, 656 state-run Protestant churches in the province saw their crosses removed during the first half of this year.

A Three-Self church in the city’s Yingdong district, which lost its cross in April, was told by authorities that the cross-demolition campaign was part of national policy. ...

Yes indeed, fellow pilgrim.

The preaching of the cross, namely, the preaching of penal substitution or penal satisfaction, where Christ dies in the place of God's elect, is the power of God at work in all who are saved, who come to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. Those who see it as foolishness will assuredly perish, because there is no other way of salvation under heaven, given by God.

The Christian can be assured that every last sin, past, present or future, has been borne by the Lord Jesus in his oblation at Calvary 2k years ago, and that the justification he has received through faith can never be revoked. The salvation of God is complete and perfect, and for which he is to be praised and given thanks.

(18)  For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.
(19)  For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.
(20)  Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?
(21)  For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.
(22)  For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom:
(23)  But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness;
(24)  But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.
Amen brother and thanks for those wonderful verses.

These ungodly blasphemers can remove all the material crosses they want, but they can never remove the spiritual cross of our Lord and Savior. They can stop people for publicly worshipping, but they can never remove the born again spirits of believers.

Pslams 2:1 Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?
2 The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the Lord, and against his anointed, saying,
3 Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.
4 He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision.
5 Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure.
6 Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion.
